Flash cards are a good way to practice math facts.

2. Parent Teacher conferences will be held November 20 from 6-8 pm and November 21 from 9- 11 am .

I am sending home your child’s data folder this week. The purpose of this folder is to keep track of your child’s work and tests. This is a simple way for you to see your child’s progress throughout the year.  Periodically, it will be sent home so you can see what we are working on in class. I ask that all documents stay in the binder. I also ask that the data folder be sent back to the school with your child the following day. Please sign all tests when you have seen them.

1. The Halloween dance is on Thursday night this week from 6:45- 7:30 (Grades 3-5)

2. Halloween dress up day is on Friday. Please send your child's costume in their book bag. We will be changing at school.

2.  I ask that all homework be passed in on Friday every week.

The school year is going very well so far! Our class has been learning about explorers and exploration in Social Studies and we have contacted a local exploration group called Trekk.it T.V. We have e-mailed Trekk.it T.V. and are waiting to see if they can come visit our classroom to speak with us about their adventures. They have their own Youtube channel and Facebook page you can check out at home:

         We are learning about rocks and minerals in Science and have done some experiments. In Language Arts we are working on reading comprehension and writing recounts (stories that have happened to us). The area we are covering in Math is number sense up to 10 000.
